ANZAC Service 1937

Anzac Day at Beacon. 1937

About 100 people gathered at the Anzac Day ceremony at Beacon. The president (Mr. George Shemeld) was in charge, and Mr. Guy Dorman opened the proceedings with a prayer. After the two minutes’ silence, the Last Post and Reveille were sounded and a wreath was placed on the flag-covered table in the hall.

Mr. Leonard Hamilton (secretary of the Beacon R.S.L.) then gave an inspiring address and the ceremony closed with the National Anthem.
